As a Kawartha Lakes School Outreach Worker you will work together with the satellites Ministry Director to develop meaningful relationships with youth in the local schools

Kawartha Youth for Christ (KYFC) / Youth Unlimited (YU) is a Christian youth mission that has been serving youth and families in the Greater Kawartha Region for over 40 years. In 2019 the mission reached over 2790 youth, in 8 different communities, using 20 different ministry models.

KYFC/YU is a chartered member of the National organization Youth for Christ Canada (YFCC) / Youth Unlimited (YU). In Canada, YFCC / YU has been imparting God’s love, truth and hope to young people from all walks of life regardless of race, faith, economic level, or cultural background for over 75 years! We are a community of Christians who strive to be faithful to Jesus Christ and to make him known to the young people with whom we work. The Mission Statement of YFC / YU across the country is to see “every young person living fully in Christ.” At a local level, we seek to fulfill this mission by caring for the whole person, sharing the life-changing message of the Gospel, and daring them to know and follow Jesus.

Position Overview

Role Requirements:

• Be involved in direct relational evangelism / discipleship with youth
• Develop relationships and networks with local school board and high school(s)
• Attend events or programs in the community that further your outreach work and connections in the Kawartha Lakes (for example, coaching a high school sport)
